WELCOME TO MELODY FOUNDATION

Who we are

Melody Foundation was founded by Prophetess Christy Idahosa. The organisation was founded in 2004 after she had a still birth with her daughter Melody. Today Melody Foundation, which was birthed from tragedy now brings a positive impact to many people across the world. The vision of Melody Foundation is to Help Others Smile.

We aim to achieve this with a mission to support children that have no carers, women who have experienced still birth, miscarriages and loss of a child as well as the widows and widowers.

We are advocates for mental health awareness and personal development for the youth. We also assist the elderly with their welfare. We are committed to improving the community conditions and wellbeing of the less fortunate.

Melody Story

The story that brought about Melody Foundation: In the year 2000, I was pregnant with a baby girl who was to be named Melody. Right from conception, I could tell that the baby loved music, as when I play music the baby will begin to kick and move about in my womb and this was also confirmed at every antenatal appointment. A week prior to the baby’s expected delivery date (EDD) I had the scheduled appointment. That very day we were setting up the baby’s room with all the equipment. The baby also kicked that day about an hour before the appointment.We left everything we were doing and went to the GP for the appointment.

When we got there they ran several tests and they discovered that the baby had no heart beat. They thought that maybe the test equipment was faulty, so they got a new set of equipment and re ran the tests only to discover that the baby still had no heart beat. They still couldn’t believe it because they have always followed me up and checked on the baby consistently and then they called for the ambulance to take me to the hospital; at arrival at the hospital, they used more equipment to test the baby and discovered that the baby had passed away.
